With nearly 20 years in the advertising industry, John has worked with clients in around the Midwest in numerous industries.

After serving as the Marketing Manager for a prominent LASIK surgeon in Oklahoma City, John decided it was time to expand his opportunities, and start an ad agency.  A proud, Kiowa-Apache, enrolled in the Apache Tribe of Oklahoma, it was an easy decision to honor his heritage, and his father's name...Blackhorse!  John's father, a prominent artist, and historian of his tribe, adopted the name, and the logo from his father's work.

As an avid baseball fan, John has adopted a (sort of) Sabermetrics to reaching a client's target audience.  Intertwined with dexterous copy-writing, the talents of the Production team, applying the metrics of advertising brings an efficient delivery of a message to the targeted demographic.

Married 25 years in 2024 to his college sweetheart, Keli, they have 5 children, and enjoy spending time traveling to all their children's baseball games, and Caroline's tumbling.
